But that wasn’t the case recently with a Saint Bernard named Whiskey in a Minneapolis suburb.

Apparently not thinking it through— Whiskey pushed out a second story window screen and hopped out …

He landed on a roof overhang 10 feet above the ground and correctly decided that was just a leap too far.

There he sat until firefighters were called in for a heavy-duty rescue.

One firefighter on a ladder and two inside the building eventually managed to pull Whiskey safely back into the house. All’s well.
