MEGAN BASHAM, HOST: When Nate Roman of Marlborough, Massachusetts returned home from work, he could tell instantly something wasn’t right.
His house did not look as he left it, and he quickly realized someone had broken into it.
But here’s the thing, nothing was missing. And his house was spotless—cleaner than when he left for work that morning.
He soon realized the beds were made, the toilets were scrubbed. The intruder even crafted origami roses on the toilet paper rolls.
Roman called the experience “weird and creepy” and contacted police.
They’d never heard of a house-cleaning bandit and had no suspects.
But after reflecting on the situation, Roman says he has a far less bizarre theory. He thinks he might’ve left his back door unlocked and that a housekeeping service may have entered his home by mistake.
I hope someone makes that mistake in my house soon!
