MARY REICHARD, HOST: Stop me if you’ve heard this one: A horse walks into a bar …
NICK EICHER, HOST: I think I’ve heard this one!
REICHARD: Nope, it’s not a joke. That actually happened at bar in Chantilly, France, north of Paris.
Security camera footage shows panicked patrons scrambling to get out of the way. They were desperate to avoid an agitated racehorse. She’d burst into the bar. She bucked her hind legs, up and down the length of the bar.
The horse had apparently dumped her rider at a race course nearly a mile away. And then made a run for it.
The owner said the horse has a history of trying to escape. But she was surprised the horse made all the way into town.
Thankfully, there was no harm—aside from a few broken tables and chairs.
