Billy, a lifelong resident of Mississippi, has for 38 years written about the people and places of his home state. A writer and columnist for The Clarion-Ledger in Jackson since 1982, he has won more than 40 regional and national awards. The University of Mississippi graduate resides with his family near Jackson.
