I often tell people that I get my news updates from Babylon Bee. I often don't get the joke because I missed the event they are satirizing. Then I search it out on the internet. After that I go back and have a good laugh.
All too often the satire seems so true it is laughable in and of itself. Satire easily mimics reality when it comes to politicians machinations and duplicity.
A recent case in point: the Babylon Bee had a picture of Macron with a black eye and the caption, “French President Macron Claims He Fell Down The Stairs Again”, I thought, huh? Later, I stumbled across the video showing Brigitte taking a swat at him, the light went on in my head and I had a good laugh.
The Babylon Bee, informing the public one chuckle at a time.
Good example. Of many. It is a good way to stay on top of what is happening around the world.
But I also find some of the commercials to be so much like their satire and often mistake the ads on BB for one of their satire satire pieces. They are pretty weird.
Just Me 999
How in the world (sorry no pun intended) is ANYONE going to determine what a politician actually said in the first place???

I guess parody is serious business now.
