I'd like to see some scientific data that shows that this is the case of surrogacy for a married male-female couple. I don't doubt that this is true (or maybe more true) for a child that goes to a homosexual couple or a single person.

There is nothing evil or wrong with adopting a child. That is a genuine Christian action to try to mitigate, as best possible, the hurts caused by the separation from biological parents; to heal what a sinful world has caused. Surrogacy is deliberately creating a child to meet OUR needs and not caring about the wounds that child will be born with. The church has long been too silent on this subject and IVF (which usually results in the creation of some children who will be abandoned to a laboratory storage freezer indefinitely.)
Very well said! Although it does help adopted children when their new parents are aware of the added struggles that they will have from the separation.

Then there are those of us who have adopted because of being unable to conceive as a traditional married couple. I can understand the evil of the surrogacy, but does that suggest that we are doing evil also? I wish I knew when we adopted our 2 children, both at 8 weeks old, 6 years apart, all this information that is known now. It would have been useful to help with their emotional needs.

Do the same problems result for children who are adopted?
