If you are not indoctrinating your own children, you are the only one not trying to indoctrinate your children.

You're a despicable person. If there's a gawd, she hates you

And your comment address the points of this piece in what way? Do you have a rational counter argument, or is vitriol the extent of your response?

If I may ask, how do you determine what is “despicable” and what is not?

Janet Bnot silent

not silent,
The Merriam-Webster online dictionary defines "despicable" as "deserving to be despised; so worthless or obnoxious as to rouse moral indignation."
And to be indignantly aroused morally, one must have a moral standard to judge the action by.
My moral standards are in the Bible.
Our culture used to judge actions by Biblical standards. But liberal society, in the form of politicians, media, and other loud voices, is following a different moral standard now, and it is very self-oriented and overly sexualized. They are pushy about it, even though it is very dangerous to the innocent. Biblical standards are not there to keep us from pleasure, but to keep us all from harm.
That is the point of this article, and it is an excellent one.
I hope I have helped.

Thanks, Janet B. I wholeheartedly agree that one must have a moral standard; and my personal standard is also the Bible. But I was curious what standard was being used by seldomseensmith.

If these “progressives” resent being called “groomers”, I can only respond that if the truth hurts, so be it! Based on the child abuse from ancient history, it sure looks like the “progressives” have become regressive.

To a certain extent, childhood is a time to be indoctrinated into values engrained for their lifetime. If parents are ethical and loving, they will attempt to indoctrinate their children. Teachers, having surrogate authority for much of the education of children, also indoctrinate values along with skills.

Thus, children are susceptible to indoctrination. School teachers render significant influence. Therefore, what happens in the classroom at any age, but especially to a young child, can bend that child's life orientation for his or her lifetime. And I use the term "his or her" as a warning that such terms are in jeopardy.

This is reflective of a dangerous trend over the past decades to push 'being yourself' as a positive trait without taking into account that humanity is fallen and many of our desires are temptations of the devil. The LGBT+ movement is merely the logical conclusion of this harmful ideology.
