Rest in peace, good brother Packer.

Wayne Asbury

Thanks Bob.  I should have mentioned him.  And I'm sure there are more people that I could/should have mentioned who have not gotten the recognition they deserve.

"Christianity is not instinctive to anyone, nor is it picked up casually without effort.  It is a faith that has to be learned, and therefore taught, and so some sort of systematic instruction is an essential part of a church’s life."

I have a copy of that quotation from J.I. Packer on the bulletin board in my (adult) Sunday school room at church. (Unfortunately, here in San Jose, we have not been able to meet for church since March 8th, over 4 months ago.) Thank you for all your help Dr. Packer. Very well done.

AMEN!

Glory to God Alone for the life, example and ministry of J.I.Packer.  Thank you Father for this man you created and used to point others to Jesus Who is the Way, the Truth and the Life.  Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints.
